Ohio: I Love Lakeside!

Memories of Lakeside, Ohio

If we trace a finger along our life timeline many decisions we make and desires often go back to our childhood; I had a sweet one. We went camping occasionally and pulled a long a trusty pop up camper; “Tag Along” was her name. Then, along came a little dollhouse cottage in Lakeside, a chautauqua community on Lake Erie.

In the 1970s my parents had saved enough money to buy a brand new car, but for some reason (angels unaware) the deal fell through. They decided to put the $8,000 car savings towards a little fixer upper cottage in Lakeside.
